Little did Richard know that at the age of 6 with muddy knees that on the eve of his 50th birthday he would still be playing in the same garden. Living in the house he was born in, with his own family, in the Peak District National Park, uk.
On the face it it seems that Richard hasn’t gone far in his life – but a little data can give a distorted view. A quick stint in the Royal Navy (first person to waterski behind a Frigate) 4 years in Retail (stacking bananas and running supermarkets) then led too 10 years in Global Consulting which has taken Richard far and wide.
Richard now runs his own practice, which he has done for 12 years, 80% of his working time is spent abroad, where he loves helping leaders with messy business problems. He does this through the design and delivery of creative, high-quality learning experiences, facilitation of strategic events, process and organization development consultation and coaching. A down to earth leader in his own right Richard brings a practical action orientated approach to his work. He has a ’twinkle in the eye’, a humorous deprecating manner but is always looking for fun around every corner.
Richard graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics & Business Management, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching. He is a member of the Association for Coaching, a member of the Professional Speakers Association, and a licensed SDI®, MBTI and FiroB facilitator.
Above all else he still has muddy knees and loves playing in his garden.
